Jacksonville Beach Couple Opens First Bach to Rock Music School in Florida

Jacksonville Beach Couple Opens First Bach to Rock Music School in Florida

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announced today that its first Florida location is opening in Jacksonville Beach. To celebrate B2R’s grand opening, the school will host an open house on Saturday, June 4 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 2280 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250. The community is invited to tour the school, enjoy a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, try out free toddler “Mommy and Me” classes, enter into prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio, meet the teachers, and more.

“I am confident that our new Bach to Rock franchisees, Wayne and Sue Chattaway, will make a meaningful local impact with their Jacksonville Beach school,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock.  “They’ve got it all: enthusiasm, community commitment and a dedication to quality music education.”  Gross continued, “Families in Jacksonville Beach will be assured of a fun, progressive music curriculum that has proven to be successful with thousands of students of all ages.”

Husband and wife team Wayne and Sue Chattaway are embarking on their venture as first-time entrepreneurs by tapping into their extensive backgrounds in the software and healthcare industries respectively.  They were motivated to get into the music school business by tuning into a need expressed by Wayne’s 11-year-old son, Noah.  “Noah loves to play guitar and he became passionate about the notion of attending a cool music school after watching a movie. Investing in a Bach to Rock franchise was a wise business decision and at the same time, we could help Noah and other budding musicians in Jacksonville Beach,” said Wayne Chattaway.  “It’s exciting as business owners.  We are delivering a unique music education curriculum that is personalized for each student’s distinct interests.  It will be a joy to help kindle music inspiration and creativity in kids and adults.”   The couple plans to open a second Bach to Rock in Florida in the next year.

Bach to Rock Jacksonville Beach will offer a variety of programs for both students of all ages, including individual lessons, group classes such as Rock Band, early childhood programs for children as young as two years old, summer camps and birthday parties. Studies have shown that learning to play music in a group helps students learn teamwork, develop social skills and build self-esteem, among other benefits.  The school will also feature Bach to Rock’s new Touch Screen Tablet Technology, which allows teachers to customize lessons; gives parents the ability to view their children’s progress and homework; and provides administrators with the necessary tools to ensure students are receiving a well-balanced music education.

Bach to Rock is expanding at a robust and steady pace.  The franchise has repeatedly been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and was listed in the Top Ten Trending Categories for 2016. Most recently, Bach to Rock won “Best of” Bethesda Magazine 2016 with first place in the Best Kids' Art or Music Classes category as the readers' pick. In 2014, Inc. Magazine named Bach to Rock one of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the third consecutive year.  Franchise Times has ranked it as one of the 500 Powerhouse Brands and on its Next 300 Franchise System list. In addition, Washington Family Magazine named Bach to Rock to its “Best Music Instruction” list and readers of Northern Virginia Magazine voted the company as “Best Piano Instruction.”  Bach to Rock also was named the number one company to watch by the Washington Business Journal.

Bach to Rock is currently seeking qualified candidates to open franchise locations in major metropolitan markets throughout the country. Bach to Rock is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to build a business that is dedicated to helping children and adults learn to play the music they love. While music experience or ability is not necessary, candidates should bring strong business acumen and the ability to build teams to ensure the school’s success.

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announced today that its first Texas location has opened in Houston. To celebrate B2R’s grand opening, the school will host an open house on Saturday, April 23 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 9079 Katy Freeway, Suite A, Houston, TX 77024. The community is invited to tour the school, schedule a free music lesson, learn about individual lessons and group classes, try out free toddler “Mommy and Me” classes, enter into prize drawings and giveaways, check out the recording studio, meet the teachers, and more.

“Bach to Rock is expanding at a robust and steady pace. I am confident the Memorial school will become a foothold in the Southwest as we continue to grow our presence nationwide,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “Thanks to our dedicated new franchisees, Alex and Lynley Stern, of Ruby Capital, LLC, families in the Memorial area will enjoy our fun, progressive music curriculum that has proven to be successful with thousands of students of all ages.”

Bach to Rock Memorial will offer a variety of programs for both children and adults, including individual lessons, group classes such as Rock Band, early childhood programs for children as young as six months old, summer camps and birthday parties.

“Opening the first Bach to Rock school in Texas is an honor and a thrill,” said Alex Stern, Bach to Rock franchisee.  “My wife Lynley and I are both natives of the Houston area and the music lesson industry is underdeveloped here. Bach to Rock offers a fresh, interactive approach that is entirely student-driven, which is something we wished we had when we were growing up.  It is designed to nurture and grow each student’s distinct musical interests. We are hoping to revolutionize the music lesson business in Texas!”  Music lovers from an early age, Alex has always enjoyed mixing CD’s and singing in school plays, and Lynley has been a pianist since age six.  The duo plans to leverage their past experience in the education and internet marketing industries to the new venture.  They plan to open a second Bach to Rock in Texas in the next year.

Bach to Rock has repeatedly been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and was listed in the Top Ten Trending Categories for 2016. Bach to Rock Franchise Announces Plans to Develop Four New Schools in Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey and New York

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announced today the signing of several franchise development agreements to launch four new schools in the states of Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey and New York. The brand is experiencing a burst of growth with 30 additional franchised locations slated to break ground between 2016 and 2017.

The present development plans in Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey and New York include:

  • Ridgefield, CT: New franchisee Carl Giangrasso is a former financial services executive and IT operations consultant. “I am proud to be opening the first Bach to Rock in Connecticut this fall, and am eager to make our school a community hub for musicians of all ages to expand their talents,” he said.
  • Roswell, GA: Husband and wife team Carmen and Nancy Guinto are thrilled to be opening Georgia’s first Bach to Rock in the Atlanta area in the fall of 2016.  Nancy is a classically trained pianist and educator, and while Carmen is an IT professional and business owner, he is also an aspiring vocalist, guitarist, bassist and harmonica player. “We want our Bach to Rock school to be a place that everyone enjoys, from our employees to our students.  It’s like creating a new extended musical family,” said the couple.
  • Rockland County, NY and Paramus/Ridgewood, NJ:  Eric Philo is a former investment banker and corporate analyst. He is confident that Bach to Rock is a solid business proposition; however, it is the opportunity to help kids break out of their digital habits that captivated him.  “Music is a way to teach the digital generation about interacting with other kids by playing music, talking, laughing and joking,” he said.  With his own album debuting later this year, Philo is delighted to share his passion for music with students when he expands Bach to Rock’s presence in New York and New Jersey this fall.

“I am very honored to welcome these franchisees to the Bach to Rock family. We are experiencing continued growth due to our proven business model and music education philosophy,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “We have a winning formula that helps budding musicians of all ages nurture and grow their talent.  At the same time, we help fill a void left behind by school budget cutbacks. Bach to Rock offers a prime opportunity for entrepreneurs to become successful.”

Bach to Rock franchisees are provided with an array of tools to position them for success, including extensive hands-on training, marketing and public relations support and a proprietary web-based management system, along with demonstrated techniques for business growth.  Franchisees also benefit from multiple revenue streams such as individual and group classes, early childhood education programs, state-of-the-art recording studios, summer and winter camps, birthday parties and more.

Bach to Rock has repeatedly been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and was listed in the Top Ten Trending Categories for 2016. In 2014, Inc. Bach to Rock is currently seeking qualified candidates to open franchise locations in markets across the country. Individuals seeking to own and operate a Bach to Rock should possess a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $100,000. While music experience or ability is not necessary, candidates should have a passion for music and be able to build a strong team of committed musicians to ensure the school’s success. Franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from approximately $370,000 to $522,500, including a $35,000 franchise fee.

The three franchise groups and their development plans include:

  • New franchisees Wes and June Gross plan to develop three new schools in Arizona. This husband-and-wife duo, who have been married for over 40 years, plan to target areas within Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Chandler and Gilbert and will bring the first Bach to Rock school to the state. Wes and June have always been inspired to create lifelong musicians and plan to open their first location in Fall 2016.
  • Husband-and-wife team Tay and Kelly Foster plan to develop one new school in North Carolina. Attracted to Bach to Rock's ability to touch the lives of young people in their community, they plan to debut the brand in North Carolina in Spring 2016 and are targeting the Raleigh, Apex and Cary areas.
  • Led by Brian and Beth Donovan, the new franchise group will help expand Bach to Rock's presence in Texas. The couple is looking forward to tapping into their passion for educating children by utilizing the Bach to Rock brand model. Their first location is planned to open in Summer 2016 in the Dallas suburb of Flower Mound.
