Billie Jo Joseph is the Site Director and voice teacher at B2R Gaithersburg; she also plays piano. Billie Jo has been entertaining in the Maryland/DC/Metro area for over 10 years with many talented musicians. She is also the singer and keys player in her own band, Billie Jo and the Distractions. Her favorite artists include Cher, Elvis Presley, Elton John and Aretha Franklin. |

Joyce Harvey is the Assistant Site Director of B2R Gaithersburg. Joyce has extensive experience in business management, operations, marketing and finance and has 7 years of training as a classical pianist. Joyce enjoys a variety of genres and artists including the 3 tenors, Yo-Yo Ma, UB40, Elton John, Joe Cocker and the Eagles. |

Audrey Ahmed is a violin and piano teacher. Audrey has a B.S. in Education/Special Ed and prior to joining B2R, she was a violin instructor at Elizabethtown College’s Preparatory Division. She is also currently teaching math at the Katherine Thomas School in Rockville. Her favorite musicians include Itzhak Perlman, Alicia Keys, and Norah Jones. |

Alex Appelbaum teaches voice, guitar, drums keyboard and bass. Currently pursuing a degree in Choral Music Education at University of Maryland Baltimore, Alex has been both a teacher and participant in a variety of different musical outlets including musical theater, acappella, rock bands, and a wide spectrum of choirs. He is currently writing original music and playing as a solo act around the metro area. Alex's favorite artists include Queen, Stevie Wonder, and Beethoven. |

Dan Avedikian teaches keys, guitar, voice and drums. He is also fluent in the mandolin, dulcimer and clarinet. Dan has a B.A. in Music Performance (Piano and Voice) and has taught for two years. His favorite artists are John Mayer, Ben Folds and Regina Spektor. |

Robert Cross studied at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he received a degree in Contemporary Writing & Production with a concentration in drum set studies. While at Berklee, he studied with Jackie Santos Jr., Mike Mangini, Rod Morgenstein, and Dave DiCenso. He has not only played countless shows up and down the east coast, but has also recorded extensively in the studio with such artists as Black Betty & The Bad Habits, Jenny Martin, Rachel Black Band, and Joyce Scott with JD Boston Music. Today, Rob has been devoting his time to teaching music. With almost 10 years of teaching under his belt already, he has achieved much success working as Assistant Director of the Morristown Marching Band of Morristown, NJ, winning Best Percussion, Best Music, and 1st Place in 2008’s Band Competition in his hometown of Randolph, NJ. His student’s accolades also include a Superior rating for the Randolph Middle School Percussion Ensemble at the “Music in the Parks” Festival in Hershey, PA. Many of Rob’s private students have also gone on to audition for New Jersey Area Band, Region Band, and All State Band and in many cases made it into all three! In addition to playing and teaching, Rob is also an avid composer, writing mostly orchestral pieces and has had a string quintet piece premiered by the Abby Orchestra of The Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ. Finally, Mr. Cross is extremely excited about teaching at Bach to Rock and is eager to work with the musicians of tomorrow and help them to develop a great appreciation for the significance of music in our world today. |

William Gunst has spent the majority of his adult life intimately involved in music, be it performing, teaching, recording, directing or promoting. Most recently, he played in a gypsy-folk style band that massed several tours playing in venues and clubs stretching from Nashville to Vermont. In the past, he spent many years as the musical accompanist of a theater group in northern Virginia. He has worked with and produced many other artists as well using the recording techniques he has honed over the years. Besides piano and guitar, he is comfortable with many other instruments such as drums, bass, mandolin, ukulele, accordion, banjo, synthesizers and many others. His influences include The Zombies, Brian Wilson, REM, The Beatles, and Radiohead.

Wade Koeman currently teaches guitar and bass as well as providing instruction to aspiring Jam Bands. Originally from Colorado, Wade has been writing, performing and recording music for over 10 years. He has studied rock/jazz/bluegrass guitar extensively and received his degree in Audio Engineering in 2005. Wade is able to adapt to any learning style and teach in a way that caters to the individual student. His influences include Phish, Radiohead, and Led Zeppelin just to name a few.

Tyler Lefebvre is a guitar, bass, drums, and beginner keyboard teacher. He has experience teaching and performing music through many different venues. Tyler has produced his own music and takes just as detailed an approach to teaching music as he does through executing it. He does so through utilizing his music schooling, dedication, drive, patience and experience. His influences are Tiger Lou, Logh, Mando Diao Motown and many, many more. |

Robert Malloy has been playing drums since the age of 5. Rob “The Cubano” Malloy has developed into an experienced drummer. With a myriad of playing styles to include jazz, hip-hop, Latin and funk, he has developed a versatile playing style. He has studied under renowned jazz musician Steve Davis, has attended some of the best music schools to include the University of South Florida, has played venues in excess of 2,000 people and is currently working to be endorsed by Vater Sticks. Rob’s inspirations include: Steve Davis, Dave Weckl, Jo-Jo Meyer, Haratio “El Negro” Hernandez, Billy Cobham, Vinnie Caliuta, Max Roach, Art Blakey and Buddy Rich. |

Ray Remesch is a guitar, bass and voice teacher, but also plays keys and drums. Ray has a B.A. in Music Education from UMBC and has been teaching private lessons for years, as well as tutoring for the UMBC Music Department. His favorite artists include Incubus, Daft Punk, Outkast and Zero 7. |

Cara Burak is a receptionist at B2R Gaithersburg. She graduated from High Point University in 2006 with a degree in Human Relations. Cara has been playing the violin since she was 4 years old and has performed at the Polish Embassy, Wolf Trap, and the Kennedy Center. She is currently learning how to play guitar and her favorite bands include Jimmy Eat World, One Republic, 311, and Incubus.

Practicing by yourself at home you feel lonely. But it helps a lot because you practice your own parts and then you come together as a band and you can really play.
