Drum Fusion

(Up to 5 students per group)

Drum Workshop provides an exciting introduction to rhythmic interpretation. In this class students will master the fundamentals of rhythm and coordination. Having multiple drummers in the group allows for an exploration of song form as well as performance of percussion ensemble pieces. Our goal is for the students to be able to interpret patterns and play them over the entire drum set and to gain exposure to other drum techniques, such as conga drums or timbales, while listening to and reacting to other players in the group.
